Hamilton
Hamilton was taken in by animal control, who reached out to us to see if we could take him in. We said of course! And are so glad we did! He is a super friendly, handsome, fun-loving goat who brings much needed silliness to the farm.
Lena
Lena needed safe placement after a coyote attacked and killed her goat mama. Lena is the silliest of the goats! Very typical mischievous, loves to climb and get into things she shouldn’t … and there is never a dull moment with her around!
Duke
A 15 yr old gelding mini horse, needed placement when his owner, due to her husband’s battle with cancer, could no longer care for him. Duke is a playful, bright young guy who is a joy to have on the farm!
Buttercup
A 18 yr old mare mini horse, was living with several other horses on a property where their owner did not provide them with care and love. She was used for breeding and she has Cushing’s disease. She came to us through Save The Horses. Buttercup is a beauty, inside and out!
Biscuit
A 15 yr old gelding mini horse, was abandoned by his owners, adopted by a school, and then in need of a place to live out the rest of his years. He came to us with only one eye and that eye ended up needing to be removed. He is now eyeless and doing fine with blind life! Biscuit is as sweet and docile as they come!
Oliver and Amelia
We have two potbellied pigs living at the farm! Oliver (on the left) is an outgoing (and a bit demanding, ha!) potbellied pig who came to us from animal control. Amelia (on the right), is a shy and docile potbellied pig who came to us from a neglect situation.
Billy
Billy was kicked out of his home by his neighborhood’s HOA. He has joined life on the farm and is a perfect companion for Hamilton! They are peas in a pod and a true joy to care for.
Charlotte
Born in late 2022, Charlotte was found in the woods and in need of a safe haven. She is a joy to care for and provides much needed companionship for Sir Kevin!
Deuces
Born on 2/22/22 (thus the name), Deuces came to us from Save the Horses rescue. He was born blind. All the preview calves from the same mother cow were killed because they were thought to be blind as well. Someone intervened and Deuces was able to live at Save the Horses for a while where he outgrew his blindness! He is a curious and docile boy who enjoys snuggles and hanging out with his new sister, Lola.
Freddie
This handsome boy was abandoned by our preview neighbors so we took him in. He is a CHAMP barn cat who happens to be very affectionate. He does his duty catching mice and other critters. He enjoys wandering the property and resting on his thrown in the tack room.
Lola
A 2 yr old Angus cow found wandering down a country road with her cow friend who has been struck and killed. Lola is all about food and love! She is 1000lbs of joy and has settled in beautifully here at the sanctuary.
Sir Kevin
His family was killed by hunters and he was found with a nasty wound on his neck. Kevin is a feisty piglet who is all about exploring and is never shy about using his voice! He is the loudest animal on the farm! Kevin is best friends with Charlotte and is loving life.
Dean
Dean is one of four alpacas that came from a farm in Kentucky where their owner could no longer care for them. Dean is the leader of the alpaca pack and is always eager to see what’s going on!
Frank
Frank is one of four alpacas that came from a farm in Kentucky where their owner could no longer care for them. He is deaf. Frank is a BIG boy who is curious about his environment and LOVES the water sprinkler in the summer time!
Garfunkel
Garfunkel is one of four alpacas that came from a farm in Kentucky where their owner could no longer care for them. He is a confident and independent guy and also the most interested in what us humans are up to!
Simon
Simon is one of four alpacas that came from a farm in Kentucky where their owner could no longer care for them. He is the smallest guy and a bit reserved and fearful, but he warms up once he knows what’s going on.
Valentino
Valentino is a bottle-fed calf who came to us at 5 days old! He was born on a beef farm in Alabama. His mother did not produce any milk and Valentino nearly died. He is a true JOY to care for! He was sick for a long time but is finally feeling well and running around the farm like a young calf should. Val is affectionate and goofy and we are excited to see him grow and thrive!
